Curious, four-year-old Jonathan found some interesting objects in the bathroom wastebasket.

surpriseHe showed them to his father, who recognized the tubular compressed paper tampon holders, but for who-knows-what-reason thought of a project the two of them might undertake.

“Would you like to make a Christmas present for Mom out of these?  I think I know how…”

So, Daddy found a Campbell’s soup can in the garbage and the two of them fitted the tubular objects into the can.  They covered the can with decorative aluminum foil, added a few pencils into the tubes, wrapped the whole thing and placed it under the tree.

When I opened it, Jon knew I would love his gift, the girls were embarrassed, Chris was clueless and Paul smirked.

Some day, Paul Anderson, I’ll get even.
